Brian Avery, the president of ES&SS, realized after many years of providing safety services with his father and mentor Bill Avery that a vital industry component was missing from thier offerings---security.
Brian devised the idea to develop a company that provided safety, security & first aid services to the events industry; capitalizing on the lack of organizations that offer comprehensive safety and security service specifically designed to meet the unique and challenging needs of the events industry. Brian believes that a balance of safety and security are necessary to effectively manage risk and the operations of a quality organization.
After the decision was made to expand the company the race was on to find security professionals to complement that concept. Brian approached Steven Schulties, a security professional and trusted colleague from Wet n' Wild who also has an extensive background in the events and attractions industries. Brian also recognized the need to enlist the help of a seasoned law enforcement officer and emergency planner, Michelle Cechowski, to address the finer points of identifying and managing complex security concerns. Steven & Michelle were both excited by the opportunity to join Event Safety & Security Services and share the same enthusiasm for offering quality services to event planners and venues.
Together, the management staff has over 70 years of industry experience and 20 years of post-secondary schooling. It is the goal of Event Safety & Security Services to change the way risk management is approached within the events, tourism, and attractions industries. We believe a strong combination of experience and education combined with solid safety and security principles and practices will effectively mitigate the risk associated with today's events and venues and strengthen the bottom line.
